Imagination Station Preschool has the great opportunity to team up with Neighborhood Music Stapleton this year at the annual winter welcome! I am currently in the process of preparing a lot of fun activities for preschoolers. I hear it has been bone chilling cold in years past, but I am just hoping for some chilly weather so that I can bundle up and drink hot chocolate! I am also really looking forward to meeting some Stapleton residents that are looking for a pre-k program for their child. We will be supplying a winter themed craft and giving away bookmarks and stickers to the children. Please stop by and see us!
Skye Barker-Ma, the executive director of Neighborhood Music Stapleton (NMS), was gracious enough to let me tag along with her at her booth this year. NMS operates some amazing music programs for kids and adults. All three of my children attend NMS for piano and guitar lessons, and they have some absolutely amazing teachers! They offer private music lessons, music therapy, and summer and day camps. They also have programs for the civic youth orchestra, musical theater, a vocal, orchestra, and piano program in Italy, and a Broadway program in NYC. NMS also provides music curriculum and instruction to many schools throughout the Denver area including the school my children attend, Denver Language School. As I said, I have been busy preparing some fun things for the kids for the winter welcome. Here is one of the things I will have created for the kids to do if you come visit us at the Neighborhood Music Stapleton booth. I created a winter tic-tac-toe game for kids. This simple little game always seems to keep kids busy and having fun.
I will also have some winter themed literacy, math, fine motor, and sensory activities available to play with at the booth.
